A new government report, 'Our Atmosphere and Climate 2026', released Wednesday, Oct 7, 2026, found that New Zealand's greenhouse gas levels have hit record highs, raising the risk of catastrophic glacier melt, more frequent and intense heatwaves, and damaging storms and cyclones in the near future.
