Paramount announced it is producing a film adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077, with Transformers and Call of Duty movie producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura attached and CD Projekt Red's Michał Nowakowski involved as a producing partner. The project adds to a wave of major video game film adaptations following the studio's Call of Duty movie, slated for 2028. The announcement sparked fan casting speculation, with Smile 2 actor Kyle Gallner publicly campaigning to play protagonist V in the film.
