At New York Comic Con 2026, Wizards of the Coast unveiled Darkhold Destiny, the next Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond crossover with Marvel and the first such set planned for 2027. The expansion pits heroes like Doctor Strange, Thor, and Ghost Rider against cosmic villains including Hela and Dormammu, following prior MTG/Marvel crossovers such as the Spider-Man and Marvel Super Heroes sets. The announcement came via a dedicated NYCC panel that showcased multiple cards and detailed the set's structure, including normal and Collector boosters plus four Commander preconstructed decks themed around Marvel factions like the Midnight Sons. It represents one of three previously-teased 2027 Universes Beyond sets following earlier reveals at MagicCon Las Vegas.
