A year after the Gaza ceasefire was signed, Palestinians continue to be killed in Israeli strikes and expulsion orders across the Strip. On Thursday and Friday, Israeli forces killed at least 15 Palestinians in separate incidents in Gaza City's Sabra neighbourhood, al-Mawasi, Bani Suheila and Khan Younis, including children, while issuing fresh evacuation orders that forced more families to flee. Gaza's health ministry says ceasefire-period Israeli actions have killed over 1,470 Palestinians since the deal took effect. More than 100 NGOs issued a joint statement saying the ceasefire 'exists in name only', citing continued killings and aid restrictions, while residents and journalists describe life in Gaza as a continuation rather than an end of the October 7 war's aftermath, with families still living in tent cities as the US-brokered peace plan stalls.
