The Saudi-led coalition announced a wide-ranging military operation targeting Yemen's Houthi forces. The operation is part of ongoing efforts to counter Houthi advances and maintain control of key territories in Yemen. This operation occurs amid broader instability in Yemen, where Houthi forces have been advancing and tightening control over territory, particularly around cities like Taiz where siege conditions have returned with food and fuel shortages afflicting civilians.
