At New York Comic Con 2026, Masashi Kishimoto and the Naruto franchise announced a wave of new projects as part of a three-year 'Project Rasengan' initiative. This includes a new manga titled 'Naruto: Shadow Rising,' a four-episode crossover anime with Kouji Kiriyama's 'Ninkuu' manga, a worldwide mobile game release, and a new card game launching in June 2027. More details on the new manga are expected to be revealed at Jump Festa 2027 in December. The announcements represent one of the biggest expansions of the Naruto franchise in recent years, spanning manga, anime, and gaming.
