At least five Iranian military and police personnel were killed in four separate armed attacks across southeastern Iran within 24 hours, including the assassination of senior police official Nosrat Eftekhari and police officer Mehdi Jamshidi, according to rights group Haalvsh and local officials. Security forces killed the gunman behind one assassination in a follow-up operation. Senior officials including President Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf, and police chief Ahmadreza Radan vowed that the attacks would not shake state resolve and promised to bring those responsible to justice, highlighting persistent unrest in Iran's restive Sistan-Baluchestan and Kerman provinces.
