Russian forces carried out a series of attacks on Kharkiv city and its surrounding oblast in early-to-mid October, hitting a suburban grocery store, a medical facility, and residential apartment blocks. The attacks killed at least four people—including a woman killed in a guided-bomb strike on a residential area—and injured more than two dozen others, including emergency responders and a minor. Separately, a Russian drone struck a lorry near Chornohlazivka in Kharkiv Oblast, killing the driver. The repeated strikes underscore the sustained Russian bombardment of the Kharkiv region even as diplomatic efforts toward an energy ceasefire continue.
