A Florida federal judge rejected a bid by Parviz Sabeti, the alleged former head of the Shah of Iran's secret police agency Savak, to halt a lawsuit brought by three former political prisoners accusing him of directing torture of thousands. The ruling allows the human rights case to move closer to trial.
