A flash flood swept through Nepal's Gorkha district on Sunday, October 11, 2026, destroying the Soti Khola Bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River, about 60 miles west of Kathmandu. Video showed the bridge buckling and being carried downstream; this was the second major flooding event to hit the region within months. GDACS logged the flood as ongoing from October 11 to 13, with no deaths but about 50 people displaced.
