Grand Theft Auto 6, set to release November 19, continues to generate near-daily news ahead of launch. Leaker Cyberleek, who has been releasing GTA 6 footage for weeks, posted what appears to be a final video showing scenes from the game's ending, while reportedly threatening Take-Two with a 'dead man's switch' to prevent retaliation. Rockstar developers, including Aaron Garbut, publicly reacted to the mass 2022 hack and subsequent leaks, calling the experience 'weirdly invasive' and comparing it to someone 'wading through your dirty washing.' Separately, a Bloomberg report detailed how GTA 6 was originally conceived as a much larger game spanning North and South America under the codename Project Americas, and could have released years earlier had Rockstar not expanded its scope. Reviews are expected to go out to press before the end of October, with embargoes likely lifting before launch, while Rockstar's ongoing employment tribunal with laid-off IWBG union members has been delayed into November, close to the game's release date.
