Ubisoft announced further restructuring, confirming plans to shut down Finnish studio RedLynx, developer of the Trials series, and to lay off 72 employees at Ubisoft Singapore, the studio behind Skull and Bones and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced. Ubisoft said RedLynx's closure is still in a proposal stage under Finnish law, affecting 52 employees, and is being done for economic reasons since the studio had no project in active development. The cuts come despite Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced reportedly being a commercial hit, underscoring Ubisoft's continued financial struggles and ongoing wave of layoffs and studio closures across its portfolio.
