Yemen's Houthi movement launched a ballistic missile attack on the al-Maashiq presidential palace and nearby government and Saudi-led coalition command buildings in Aden on Oct. 15-16, killing at least four to five people, including security guards, according to Yemeni officials. Prime Minister Shaya Zindani and other cabinet members were confirmed safe. The Houthis, who also fired missiles at Marib the same day, described the targeted facility as a 'Saudi war operations room' and said any Saudi military or economic presence in Yemen was a legitimate target. The Saudi-backed Yemeni government condemned the strike, and the attack marks a significant escalation in the long-running Yemen conflict, with the Saudi-led coalition accusing the Houthis of acquiring missile parts from regional states.
