The Folger Shakespeare Library opened a new exhibition Friday that maps a historical connection between Black women and the works of William Shakespeare. The exhibition includes nearly 100 objects documenting the stories of renowned scholars, popular actors and little-known historic figures. The display highlights overlooked chapters in the history of Shakespeare scholarship and performance.
