A series of smaller earthquakes were recorded around the world on October 15-16, 2026, including magnitude 4.5 quakes in Guatemala and Costa Rica, a magnitude 4.9 quake off Kamchatka, a magnitude 5.2 quake near Tonga, a magnitude 4.7 quake in the United States, and magnitude 6.7 and 6.8 quakes along the central Mid-Atlantic Ridge. GDACS classified all as green alerts, with little to no population impact reported given their remote locations or moderate magnitudes.
