More than half of the 635 Palestinian minors held in Israeli prisons in 2025 were placed in solitary confinement at least once, including five boys aged 13 to 14, usually for about seven consecutive days, according to data from two Israeli human rights organizations cited by Haaretz. Separately, rights groups documented 21 cases in which Israeli prison guards caused severe injuries to Palestinian prisoners using rubber bullets, including one case in which a guard "crushed" a prisoner's testicle, Middle East Eye reported. The reports add to long-standing criticism of conditions for Palestinian detainees, including minors, in the Israeli prison system amid the ongoing conflict.
