Russian President Vladimir Putin transferred the Russian business of French flooring maker Tarkett and four other major companies, with combined revenue of 53 billion rubles, to Marat Mirkhaidarov, a former deputy premier of Zabaikalsky Krai who fought in Ukraine, according to investigative outlets The Insider and Agentstvo and the Moscow Times. The Kremlin described the transfers as part of a continuing policy trend targeting companies from countries that froze Russian reserves in Europe, and the new owner asked journalists not to report on the handover.
