Russian authorities intensified repression this week, jailing Moscow mathematician and journalist Semyon Krasotkin, 27, on treason charges over 26 dollars in paid Telegram reactions to Ukrainian and opposition channels, according to the outlet Vot Tak. Separately, Novaya Gazeta's editor-in-chief was detained in Moscow as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, and police conducted an immigration raid near St. Petersburg's Sennoy Market where OMON officers cordoned off a block and enlistment officers served military summonses to newly naturalized citizens.
