Several European governments announced new military and financial support for Ukraine around the October 16 Brussels summit. Belgium's Prime Minister Bart De Wever promised to deliver 10 F-16 fighter jets by year's end, Zelensky said Sweden's Gripen fighter jets would arrive shortly, and France's Emmanuel Macron said Paris is accelerating missile deliveries and offering satellite data support. Sweden separately pledged more than 52 million dollars, about 45 million euros, in civilian and energy aid ahead of winter, while Finland's Prime Minister Petteri Orpo discussed new support with Zelensky expected later this month.
