Jenny McCarthy said on her podcast that Tom Cruise tried to "lure" her and her ex, Jim Carrey, into Scientology, and separately recalled getting a "Scientology stare" while attending Cruise and Katie Holmes' 2006 wedding. McCarthy made the comments speaking with a former Scientologist. The remarks, reported October 15 and 17, add to the long history of public claims about Cruise's involvement in recruiting acquaintances to the church.
