Ukrainian military officials said Russian soldiers from the 38th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade executed captured Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Huliaipole sector of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Ukrainian investigator Kravchuk alleged the killings were ordered at the initiative of the brigade's commander, Colonel Valery Kazak. Law enforcement authorities have opened a pre-trial investigation into the alleged executions.
