President Volodymyr Zelensky said the United States is drafting a proposal for a trilateral summit between Ukraine, the US and Russia, potentially held at the G20 summit in Miami in December or at other venues under discussion, though neither Washington nor Moscow has confirmed the framework. Trump said he would welcome Putin at the G20 but is unsure if he will attend. Separately, Zelensky said Ukrainian and US negotiating teams, led by Rustem Umerov, held talks with US envoy Jared Kushner to explore a possible energy ceasefire and plan further in-person meetings, with a format expected within the week.
