Battlefield Studios confirmed on October 18, 2026 that it will fix a typo reading 'Secuty' on a Battlefield 6 Season 5 cosmetic skin, after fans accused the studio of using AI to generate the item's artwork. The developer clarified that while the typo was an error to be corrected, an unusual five-pistol outfit that also drew criticism was an intentional design choice rather than an AI mistake. The incident fueled ongoing player suspicion about AI involvement in live-service cosmetic production, a sensitive topic given growing scrutiny of generative AI use across the games industry. Battlefield Studios' quick public response was aimed at reassuring the Battlefield 6 community following Season 5's rollout.
