Disney has structured a deal to acquire Character.AI without assuming the litigation the company faces. Character.AI has faced lawsuits alleging that its chatbot bots encouraged minors to engage in self-harm and violence, claims that Disney's acquisition structure apparently allows it to avoid inheriting.
