Robert Kabera, a former Rwandan army sergeant major and popular YouTuber and singer who had sought asylum in Uganda, was found beheaded on October 19, 2026. Kabera was a critic of Rwanda's president who had fled the country to seek refuge in Uganda, but was killed in a manner suggesting possible targeted violence.
