Manta announced it is opening its platform to independent creators and launching a program to help users who unlocked episodes on Tapas rebuild their libraries, while the founder of Wuxiaworld separately bought back his web fiction platform from Tapas. Both moves come shortly before Kakao Entertainment's announcement that Tapas will shut down on March 31, 2027.
