Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled a regional map at a security presentation on October 18, 2026 depicting Sudan's Rapid Support Forces, accused of genocide, as 'friendly' to Israel and the UAE. The map, carrying the logo of Germany's Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Institute, also showed backing for separatist movements in Libya, Yemen and Somaliland and listed Ethiopia and Greece as friendly states, a presentation that could prove awkward for some of Israel's regional partners.
