Yemen's Houthis said they carried out six attacks on Saudi airports, energy facilities and military sites, including an Aramco plant in Yanbu, over 48 hours around October 19, 2026. The strikes kept Riyadh's airport closed for over a week and prompted Saudi Arabia to postpone its 'Davos in the Desert' investment conference, disrupting businesses and travel; the Saudi-led coalition warned Houthis against smuggling weapons by sea, and Egypt's parliament moved toward authorizing its military to help defend Saudi Arabia if requested.
