Ukrainian and Sudanese nationals in the United States will retain Temporary Protected Status for now despite the designation having been set to expire, the Department of Homeland Security said, with more than 100,000 Ukrainians affected. The status was first granted to Ukrainians in March 2022, days after Russia's full-scale invasion began, and further announcements on its future are pending.
