Ukrainian researchers uncovered the remains of roughly 30 Ukrainian civilians killed in 1944 at an Orthodox cemetery in Łasków, eastern Poland, following search permits granted by Polish authorities, Kyiv Post reported on October 19. The operation follows parallel summer excavations in Volhynia that recovered 55 Polish victims killed in 1943, part of a bilateral dignified-burials framework established in late 2024.
