Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthis have not responded to Tehran's offer to broker talks to end their fighting, an offer first made earlier in October as the Houthis intensified strikes on the kingdom. Araghchi warned that Egyptian intervention could further escalate the conflict and said talks with the US mediated by Pakistan and Qatar remain ongoing. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian separately discussed mediation efforts with Pakistan's army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir in Tehran, as Pakistan continues acting as a key intermediary in the region.
