Russia attacked Ukraine overnight into October 21 with 98 drones and six missiles, Ukraine's Air Force said, with 58 drones intercepted or suppressed; strikes hit Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kremenchuk, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv regions. Over the prior 24 hours Russian attacks killed at least 16 people and injured 69 across Ukraine, including a Russian drone that killed two children in a park, according to the Kyiv Independent. The barrage formed part of a sustained Russian aerial campaign that has battered Ukrainian cities and infrastructure for weeks, with Ukrainian officials reporting ongoing casualties and widespread power outages.
