A review of 'Reincarnated as a Sword' Season 2 episodes one through four, published October 22, 2026 by Anime News Network, credits the series for trying hard rather than following low-effort isekai conventions. The reviewer noted it avoided common criticisms leveled at similar shows in the genre. The assessment suggests the new season builds credibly on the franchise's earlier installment.
