Kacey Musgraves announced she will release a 16-song album titled 'Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes' on January 15, 2027 via Lost Highway Records, just eight months after releasing Volume 1. The new project is described as expanding on themes of solitude from its predecessor. The announcement signals a rapid follow-up release pace for Musgraves, continuing the thematic thread she began with the first volume. No tracklist or singles have been detailed yet.
