New data from Alinea Analytics, reported October 21, 2026, shows PlayStation 5's top-selling physical games in 2026 are mostly single-player AAA titles, led by Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem, which reportedly sold around 1.3 million physical copies and outperformed all versions of the game on Xbox combined. The figures highlight a widening gap between Sony's physical and digital bestseller lists as the platform moves toward a more discless future.
