A group of Canadians filed a complaint with Canada's Competition Bureau on October 21 alleging that four Israeli real estate companies and a Canadian marketing firm used false advertising to sell properties on occupied Palestinian land intended for a future Palestinian state. Lawyers said the firms likely engaged in materially false promotion by marketing the homes as being inside Israel rather than in the occupied West Bank.
