Three filmmakers spent two years researching archives and building 3D models of 19th-century Paris to identify the exact location where the first known photograph to capture human figures was taken nearly 200 years ago, Smithsonian Magazine reported. The site is now marked with a bronze plaque commemorating the historic image.
