YouTube told The Verge on Wednesday that it is not testing hiding the dislike button for viewers, despite screenshots shared by users on X suggesting the button had been moved into a three-dot menu. The company clarified that it is instead rolling out a new interface for creators on their own uploaded videos that will relocate the dislike count display.
