A seven-year study published October 23, 2026 found that people with Parkinson's disease who were more physically active experienced significantly slower declines in memory, thinking ability, and movement compared to sedentary patients. Those exercising more than eight hours per week showed almost no average cognitive decline, suggesting that maintaining physical activity offers substantial protective benefits as the disease progresses.
