Armed Israeli settlers arrived in two vehicles near the Ajja roundabout south of Jenin and demolished a memorial honoring Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported on Friday, October 23. The local municipality had erected the monument to commemorate Abu Akleh, who was shot and killed by an Israeli soldier in 2022 while reporting on a military raid in Jenin.
