Seized Russian unit of Metro AG donates over $12 million to Russian military fund

The Russian subsidiary of German retailer Metro AG, placed under Kremlin control after Putin signed a decree on September 28, donated 1 billion rubles, about $12.4 million, to the "People's Front: Everything for Victory!" fund that equips front-line Russian troops. Metro AG said it had not approved the donation.
