Ukrainska Pravda reported that Russian forces deported 10-year-old Sofiia from Kostiantynivka after her mother was killed, placing her in the care of an uncle she had never met, with Russian occupation authorities concealing her whereabouts for a month before presenting a staged "rescue" story. Separately, five more children were returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory from the occupied part of Kherson region. The cases add to ongoing concerns over the forced transfer of Ukrainian children during Russia's war.
