Andrii Chverenchuk from Ternopil region returned home on October 24, 2026, after four years in Russian captivity, having been captured while seriously wounded. Marine Yevhen Uimanov from Mykolaiv region also returned the same day after more than four years in captivity, one of three men from his family who defended Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale invasion.
