Ukraine's Defense Forces struck multiple targets deep inside Russia on October 23 and 24, 2026, including the Tolyattikauchuk synthetic rubber plant in Samara region, the Proton-Elektrotex missile component plant in Oryol, an aircraft at the Yeysk airfield, and facilities in Omsk roughly 2,500 kilometers from the border. The Tolyatti strike sparked a major fire and reportedly forced evacuations at the neighboring AvtoVAZ car factory. Ukraine's General Staff confirmed the hits disrupted production of components for Iskander-M, Kh-101, Kinzhal and Pantsir-S1 weapons systems. Ukrainian forces also reported separate strikes on Russian command posts, drone launch sites and warehouses in occupied Crimea, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia, continuing the campaign despite the Starlink disruption.
