Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and pledged government and private sector cooperation between the US and Uzbekistan. The meeting produced the announcement of 54 agreements and proposed projects. Voice of America reported that the US is treating relations with Central Asia as a priority.
