Aid agencies warned of a fast-developing humanitarian emergency inside Taiz City in Yemen, which Houthi forces have encircled while fighting government troops. The UN said more than 250,000 people have fled renewed fighting, with access to Taiz described as essentially blocked. The UN has expressed particular concern for families sheltering in the city and the wider governorate.
