NASA published images of the NEO Surveyor sunshade being inspected in clean rooms at BAE Systems in Boulder, Colorado, in July 2026. The sunshade stands 20 feet tall and 8 feet wide at its base, and its solar cells were installed by SolAero Technologies in January. The imagery documents hardware checks on the mission, which is designed to find near-Earth objects.
