The International Weightlifting Federation chose Moscow on Oct. 25 to host the 2030 World Championships, the first such Olympic-sport event awarded to Russia since the 2022 invasion. The decision follows the federation restoring Russian and Belarusian athletes' right to compete under national flags and anthems.
