A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck the Vanuatu Islands at 04:53 UTC on October 26, at a depth of 10 km. GDACS rated it green and reported no people affected within 100 km. The alert reports no damage, deaths or injuries. It follows a separate magnitude 4.9 quake in the same islands about three and a half hours earlier.
