Harry Kane won the men's Ballon d'Or at a ceremony in London on Monday, the first Englishman to do so since Michael Owen in 2001, beating Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal. Hours earlier the official Ballon d'Or website mistakenly published articles naming Kane, Yamal and Mbappé as winners. Alexia Putellas won the women's award for a record-equalling third time.
